Zine-Making Workshops

My zine-making workshops are a true labor of love and the objective is to expose as many people (with an emphasis on the youth) as I can to this experience in channelling their thoughts/ideas and expressing them creatively in book (zine) form. Nothing compares to the tangible experience of seeing an idea come to life and holding something that you’ve created in your hand. Also through these workshops, I teach that you can do a lot with a little especially when you simply start with what you have.

Not everyone is a teacher, not everyone is a craftsperson, it takes a very special person to be both. My daughters took Lorenzo’s zine making workshop and were so inspired by the experience. Not only did they try to adopt Lorenzo as their uncle but my youngest daughter makes her own zines regularly now and has even started creating little comic books too. The workshop was a gift.

The “Zine Workshop” facilitated by Lorenzo at Hank’s was incredible. He is a brilliant artist that connects with everyone making them feel comfortable expressing themselves and bringing out their creativity. All our guests enjoyed creating their own zine and taking photos. The day was filled with lots of smiles from all ages. We can’t thank him enough for coming out and sharing his gifts with our community. We are looking forward to more workshops to come.
